Sheriff's Service Centers
Four Sheriff’s Service Centers -- in the San Lorenzo Valley, Live Oak/Soquel, Aptos, and South County -- were opened in 1996. These centers provide enhanced accessibility to a wide variety of
law enforcement services and facilitate citizen interaction with law enforcement.

The Sheriff’s Office is very proud of our volunteer program, which provides an opportunity
for residents to become active assistants in such services as report taking, crime prevention, vacation watch,
citizen patrol, vehicle abatement, and many types of community policing activities.
We are in the process of upgrading
our volunteer training to further improve our level of service, and
we anticipate a dramatic expansion of the program.
