"The Meth
Epidemic" A Message from the Sheriff The efforts towards enacting community policing have been moving forward in the various neighborhoods we serve. We continue to identify and address community priorities and provide a service that is accessible to all. The Correctional Bureau continues to do outstanding work. The State Board of Corrections has found us to be in compliance with state standards. Additionally, corrections staff and our educational partners continue to provide academic, vocational, and drug and alcohol treatment classes for the men and women who are incarcerated in the detention system. The Office’s strength and success is, of course, dependent on quality work done by our staff. The men and women who work and volunteer at the Sheriff-Coroner’s Office believe in our mission. I am very proud to lead this organization as the Sheriff-Coroner. I want to thank all the members of the office for their dedication and work throughout the year. I also recognize the community for their continued partnership in making Santa Cruz County a place where all people can live safely and without fear. Steve Robbins |
