On 7/18/08, Detectives from the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office Sexual Assault Unit arrested 45 year old Hai “Henry” Tran for felony and misdemeanor child molest. After a month long investigation, Tran was identified as the suspect who fondled a 15 year old girl and attempted to fondle a second girl who is 17 years old. The touching was described as being over clothing.

Tran is the owner/manager of the Lucky Nails Salon in the Felton Fair Shopping Center. The victims were customers of the salon and had received manicures from the suspect. One girl was escorted to a private room where the touching took place.

Tran was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on $50,000 bail. Tran posted bail and is currently out on bond. A picture will not be available of the suspect at this time due to an ongoing investigation. There Sheriff’s Office asks that if anyone was a customer of Tran and experienced inappropriate touching, to call the Sexual Assault Unit at 831-454-2311.
