Event: Business Expo featuring the Sheriff’s Office

Location: Capitola Mall, Capitola

Description of Incident:

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the "Greatest Showcase On Earth," a business expo celebrating local businesses. This event is brought to you by the Aptos Chamber, the Capitola Chamber and the Capitola Mall and is presented by PG and E and Bay Federal Credit Union. Many local businesses and community groups will be in attendance with over 100 exhibits.

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office will be featured allowing the public the opportunity to see the Sheriff’s Rescue Vehicle and Sheriff’s Bomb Team van and the “bomb robot” in operation. Bomb Team Technicians, SWAT team Members and K-9 "Odin" will also be present. Sheriff’s deputies will be available to answer questions about a career with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Sheriff and Correctional Officer positions are available and the recruitment is ongoing.
